Why W3R1

Different people. Different stories. One collective.

W3R1 stands for We Are One. It’s a simple idea, but it means a lot to me.

We can come from different places, believe different things, look different and live completely different lives. Underneath all of that, we’re still human. We want to love and be loved. We want to belong. We want to feel understood. We want our lives to mean something.

W3R1 was created from that belief.

Where it started

Before starting We Are One Collective, I was incredibly blessed to spend around 12 years working in the not-for-profit world, helping others through two globally recognised organisations.

Those years shaped a lot of who I am and what I believe. I saw the good that can happen when people choose to care, help and give something back.

And I truly believe that good has a way of spreading.

A little kindness can change someone’s day. Helping one person can ripple into something much bigger. And sometimes the simplest thing we can do is put a little more love into the world.

I guess you could say I spent 12 years learning the importance of spreading the love.

Now I want to keep doing it, just in a different way.

Why clothing?

Because what we wear can say something about us before we ever say a word.

A T-shirt can be funny. Bold. Rebellious. Hopeful. A reminder to yourself. A message to a stranger. Sometimes it can simply say, “this is who I am”.

I wanted to create pieces that people connect with because the words mean something to them. Clothing about hope, love, confidence, transformation, belonging, good energy and becoming more of who you really are.

Not because any of us has everything figured out.

Because we’re all figuring it out.

What the W3R1 wave means

The W3R1 identity is inspired by waves, vibration, frequency and connection.

We all move through the world differently. We have our own energy, experiences and expression. But different waves can still belong to the same ocean.

That’s how I think about We Are One.

Oneness doesn’t mean sameness. You don’t have to become less of yourself to belong. In fact, I think the opposite is true. The more authentically ourselves we become, the more honestly we can connect with each other.

Doing some good along the way

After more than a decade in not-for-profits, I don’t want W3R1 to exist only to sell clothing.

The bigger mission is to build something that can help improve the lives of others. As the brand grows, I want giving back and supporting not-for-profit work to be part of how we grow too.

Because if this becomes something bigger, I want the good it can do to become bigger with it.

W3R1 isn’t about me having the answers. It’s about connection, expression and becoming.

It’s for the dreamers. The kind-hearted. The people changing their lives. The ones learning to love themselves. The ones who have felt different. The ones looking for their people. The ones who still believe there’s more ahead.
